| Dear Friend, My family and I would like to extend an invitation to you or your company to participate in the fourth annual Holton's Drive for SIDS event. All proceeds will be going to First Candle/SIDS Alliance to help fund research and advocacy programs. First Candle is the nations leading infant survival organization. They tirelessly campaign for the lives of babies. In March of last year I was lucky enough to be part of speaking to congressional leaders regarding pending legislation involving SIDS research funding and processes in Washington D.C. with First Candle. It was very rewarding and healing to actually be heard. My husband and I lost our second son, Holton, to SIDS on March 28th 2007 during his normal morning nap. We decided to be "Better...not Bitter" and thus HDS was born (incidentally, also his initials Holton David Spradley). Once again we are excited to hold this event to raise as much awareness for this cause as possible. Our five month old was taken from us by the mystery that is called SIDS. Honoring him through this event has become his legacy. Our mission is to help end Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Each day in this country 7 families begin to live the terrible nightmare that we endure. We do this for those babies and future babies. We're hoping again to lean on family, friends, and community to make our fourth year as successful as the first two event's where a total of $125,000 has been raised. Through this tragic event we've been so touched by the support shown by so many. Our community has surrounded us with love and prayers and continues to help where we need it most. In many cases of the loss of a child families are torn apart. This has not been the case for Shawn, myself, Hudson and Nash as we have grown stronger and face each day with strength and drive to fight for Holton. Please join us in helping to eradicate this deadly syndrome. In Holton's name and with sincere appreciation, Kathy Spradley and Family
